Our Story

Our founding families were determined to give their adult children with developmental disabilities the opportunity to live in their own homes, make friends, and become valued members of their community. From this goal, JCHAI was born.

JCHAI was founded in 1987 to inspire and empower adults with developmental differences and disabilities to imagine and fulfill their life aspirations and to be valued contributors to the community.  

For over 30 years, we’ve helped our members unlock their limitless potential. Today, we continue to redefine possible.
